Château Petit Faurie de Soutard is a Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé made mainly from the Merlot grape variety, 60 to 65% depending on the vintage. In its youth, it is a wine with a seductive bouquet, concentrated fruit and fine tannins on the palate. It offers a good ageing.

Created in 1850, the vineyard of Château Petit Faurie de Soutard has belonged to the Capdemourlin family for decades and is now advised by Michel Rolland. The 8-hectare vineyard is located on the outskirts of the town of Saint-Emilion on a high point on the northern plateau.

1975 was initially considered an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux with a good quality harvest and grapes of good maturity. After a few decades, it is clear that there are strong disparities and that many wines have come and gone. Nevertheless, there are some nice surprises in Pomerol and Saint-Emilion with wines that are still rich and deep even after 40 years of ageing.
