Domaine Chanson Beaune Clos des Feves 1er Cru Monopole Red 1996
This Beaune Clos des Fèves 1er Cru Rouge 1996 is a great Burgundy wine, Monopole of Domaine Chanson, offered here in a very good vintage thanks to excellent climatic conditions at the end of the summer and during the harvest. The Clos des Fèves was listed as early as 1307 under the Latin name of "Fae".
It has a beautiful ruby colour with aromas of dried figs, plum jam, a hint of chocolate and light vanilla notes. On the palate, it is a full-bodied, generous and well-balanced wine, marked by fruit, with silky tannins and a beautiful persistence.
