This Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos Clos des Hospices 2022 from Domaine Christian Moreau comes from a plot of 0.5 ha in the "Les Clos" climate, on the right bank of the Serein like all the Grands Crus of Chablis, bought by the Moreau family from the Hospices de Chablis in 1904. It has always been vinified separately.

It benefits from a southern exposure and a clay-limestone marl soil from the Kimmeridgian (Upper Jurassic), very rocky with very white and very dense clays, as for the whole of the Clos, but with a slightly more marked clay dominance. The vines are on average more than 40 years old.

This exceptional Chablis is a great white wine from Burgundy, ample and generous that combines the finesse and elegance of the Clos, a nose of citrus fruits and white flowers with smoky and toasted notes, with spicy aromas and a more pronounced richness. The palate is dense and taut with a very long, very mineral finish, perfectly balanced between fullness and freshness.

This great Chablis can be kept for a long time, until about 2040-2045. It can be enjoyed with hot oysters, crispy prawns, fine fish, white meats in sauce or cheeses (Comté, goat's cheese).

Find the wines of Christian and Fabien Moreau at La Bouteille Dorée, one of the best representatives of Chablis wines and an estate certified in organic farming since 2013.
