The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de blancs 2008 is the prestige cuvée of the Taittinger Champagne House and is made exclusively from Chardonnays from the five villages of the Côte des Blancs classified as Grand Cru (Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger). It is only produced in the great vintages and since 1952, only 36 cuvées have been produced.

The grapes are harvested when the grapes are perfectly ripe, with extreme care taken in picking and sorting the bunches. Each terroir is pressed separately and then, after vinification, there is a long period of 10 years during which the bottles wait patiently in the house's chalk pits.

The Comtes de Champagne Blanc de blancs 2008 is a great Champagne in an exceptional vintage. The contrasting climatic conditions of 2008 perfectly reveal the chalky terroir of the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, with a crystalline, intense and precise character.
