This 2011 Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Jamet perfectly represents Jean-Paul Jamet's work for more than 40 years on the Côte-Rôtie terroir: his key word is the blending of plots with different soils, exposures and age of the vines.

This great red wine from the north of the Rhône Valley requires patience to enjoy. It is slowly reaching maturity but can be enjoyed until 2030-2032. The nose is powerful on black fruits with subtle vegetal, floral, mineral and spicy notes (white pepper). On the palate, the wine is already ample with supple tannins and remarkable persistence.

This cuvée is made from 100% Syrah, from twenty different plots, mainly in whole harvest, then aged for 22 months in barrels. These 20 plots come from 15 localities: Fongeant, Côte Blonde, Landonne, Côte Rozier, Plomb, Chavaroche, Moutonnes, Lésardes, Gerine, Truchet, Leyat, Bonnivières, Côte Bodin, Tartaras, Rochins.
