This 2012 Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Jamet perfectly represents Jean-Paul Jamet's work for more than 40 years on the Côte-Rôtie terroir: his watchword is the blending of plots with different soils, exposures and age of the vines.

The nose is powerful on black fruits with subtle vegetal, floral, mineral and spicy notes (white pepper). On the palate, the wine is already ample with supple tannins and remarkable persistence. The very good 2012 vintage is comparable to 2011, with excellent wines that are now mature but can also be kept in the cellar until 2030-2032.

This cuvée is made from 100% Syrah, from twenty different plots, mainly in whole harvest, then aged for 22 months in barrels. These 20 plots come from 15 localities: Fongeant, Côte Blonde, Landonne, Côte Rozier, Plomb, Chavaroche, Moutonnes, Lésardes, Gerine, Truchet, Leyat, Bonnivières, Côte Bodin, Tartaras, Rochins.
