This Côte-Rôtie cuvée Le Village 2018 allows us to approach the wines of Stéphane Ogier, one of the very best winemakers of this magnificent appellation who advocates long ageing, vines ploughed partly by horse and a plot-by-plot vinification.

Stéphane Ogier works on the individual expression of the 17 localities of his estate in order to reveal the diversity of the plots. The plots that go into this "Le Village" cuvée have the same soil structure as the "Réserve" cuvée but are on higher plateaus with younger vines. This wine is more approachable in its youth than the other cuvées of the estate with a softer expression and a charming and elegant character.
