Sarget de Gruaud Larose Saint-Julien Red 2000 - Original wooden case of 12 bottles

This Sarget de Gruaud Larose 2000 is the second wine of Château Gruaud Larose, 2nd Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien. It offers a bright and clear colour with a powerful nose with notes of roasting, leather, prunes and ripe jammy fruit. The tannins are silky with a nice freshness and a long aromatic persistence on the finish.

In Saint-Julien and throughout the Médoc, the 2000 vintage was early thanks to a hot and very humid April and very hot May and June. The summer was more contrasted with a cool and wet July preceded by a hot August with light rainfall. The ripeness and quality of the grapes were excellent and rarely reached this level since 1990.
