Learn more about the 1975 vintage
1975 was initially considered an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux with a good quality harvest and grapes of good maturity. After a few decades, it is clear that there are strong disparities and that many wines have come and gone. Nevertheless, there are some nice surprises in Pomerol, Saint-Emilion and in the north of the Médoc as well as in Saint-Estèphe where the wines remain rich and deep even after more than 40 years of ageing. To know the best wines and appellations of the vintage, in France and elsewhere in the world, consult our guide to the 1975 vintage.

Château Haut-Marbuzet is one of the oldest estates in Saint-Estèphe, classified as an Exceptional Cru Bourgeois in 2003. An exceptional terroir, a blend predominantly of Merlot (40%) and a traditional vinification and ageing give this wine a very particular silky texture with beautiful tannins and powerful aromas of red fruits and spices in its youth, as well as the ability to keep for a long time. It has long belonged to the Duboscq family.
