Chateau Les Ormes de Pez Saint-Estephe Cru Bourgeois 1989
Château Les Ormes de Pez 1989 is a great red wine from Saint-Estèphe, classified as a Cru Bourgeois, offered here in a very great Médoc vintage. Renowned for its powerful aromas, concentration and beautiful tannic structure, this great wine can be stored for several decades and is one of the great classics of the Saint-Estèphe appellation.
The chateau and vineyard, the latter divided into two parts, are located in the hamlet of Pez to the north of Saint-Estèphe. It is owned by Jean-Michel Cazes, who also owns the Grand Cru Classé Château Lynch-Bages. In the vineyard as well as in the winery, the same philosophy as in Lynch-Bages prevails.
