This 2019 Saint-Joseph red is produced by Christophe Semaska from old Syrah vines aged 35 to 50 years, 100% Syrah, planted on light clay-limestone schist soils and granite soils located on south-south-east facing hillsides.
It offers a subtle nose with aromas of blackcurrant and raspberries, which will evolve into a gamey character with age. On the palate, the substance is expressive and elegant. Here is a wine to enjoy today with braised and grilled red meats, or to keep in the cellar until about 2028-2030.
