Château Léoville Poyferré 2014 is a red wine from Bordeaux in the Saint-Julien appellation and 2nd Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 Médoc wine classifications.

The 2014 vintage was marked by changing climatic conditions, from mildness and humidity to heat and sunshine, with a very beautiful Indian summer that offered perfect conditions for the ripening of the grapes and the harvest.

Château Léoville Poyferré 2014 offers an intense garnet colour with purple reflections, brilliant and limpid. The nose expresses notes of black fruits, black cherry and blackberry, with a delicate and melted woodiness, and delicate and fresh touches of liquorice. On the palate, the lively attack is followed by a round and fleshy substance, fruity and greedy, perfectly balanced, with fine and racy tannins, with a harmonious and fresh finish.

Château Léoville-Poyferré was born in 1840 and was classified as a second grand cru in 1855. It has belonged to the Cuvelier family since 1920 as well as the other Château de Saint-Julien, Château Moulin Riche and Château Le Crock in Saint-Estèphe.
