Pascal Jolivet Sancerre Exception Organic Unfiltered Red 2006
The Sancerre Exception 2006 is a red cuvée from Domaine Pascal Jolivet. The fermentation is entirely natural, without the addition of exogenous yeasts, and the ageing is carried out in barrels. This 2006 vintage is a superb wine expressing powerful aromas of cherries and ripe red fruits, with discreet floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it offers very elegant tannins and a perfect balance between concentration and acidic finesse, all on a long finish.
Since the 2012 vintage, this cuvée has been replaced by the Sauvage cuvée, which benefits from the same rigour in plot selection, vinification and ageing.
Founded in 1987, Maison Pascal Jolivet is one of the most innovative houses in the Loire Valley and specialises in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé wines, with 95 hectares of vines in the Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé appellations.
