Pinotage is a typically South African grape variety and the largest in South Africa in terms of surface area, born in 1825 from the crossing of 2 grape varieties, Pinot Noir and Cinsault.

The 2 vintages proposed here, 2012 and 2019, are quite different and allow us to appreciate the ageing potential of Pinotage: 2019 offers wines that are still young, with bright fruit, in a vintage that follows three years of drought and which has been able to benefit from cooler weather and rains throughout the season, to give smaller, concentrated grapes of very good quality, with a reduced harvest. 2012 allows us to appreciate the evolution of the wines after 10 years of conservation, with a very elegant substance expressing itself on more vegetal notes.
