Domaine Huet Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Premiere Trie White Sweet Wine 1989
Here is a magnificent 1989 sweet Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu "Premiere Trie" of more than 30 years of age from Domaine Huet. The Haut-Lieu plot was acquired by the family in 1928. This is the historic plot of the estate and it now has 9 hectares on the Vouvrillon plateau.
Its very deep soil is composed of brown clay and gives the wines of the Haut-Lieu a very seductive freshness and precision, characteristic of this terroir. The nose is powerful and on the palate, the wine expresses itself softly with a very long finish with very fine bitters.
Premiere Trie (first sorting) is the result of a careful selection applied during the harvest. They are carried out in successive passages, only the best berries are harvested. The overripe or botrytised grapes offer good concentrations of sugar and acidity.
