Château La Lagune is classified as a third grand cru in the official classification of Bordeaux wines from 1855. Located on the land of Ludon, in the heart of the Haut Médoc, itis one of the five châteaux of the Médoc to be a Grand Cru Classé and not to be part of the Saint-Estèphe, Saint-Julien, Pauillac or Margaux appellations.

1966 was a great vintage in Bordeaux, thanks in particular to excellent climatic conditions and average yields. While some wines have remained massive with austere tannins, the greatest wines of the Médoc, and this 1966 Château La Lagune is proof of this, have survived more than 50 years and still offer a lot of pleasure.
