This Reserva 2018 cuvée is a Chilean wine from the Viu Manent estate, made from 98% of the Carménère grape variety supplemented by 2% Syrah.

It offers a rich nose with aromas of black fruits, blackcurrants and blackberries, with fine spicy touches. On the palate, the substance is round with a well-controlled acidity and a beautiful finish with notes of blackcurrant. It will be the perfect accompaniment to pasta dishes, a Chilean charquicán stew or the famous humitas, Chilean corn cakes with onions and tomatoes, and spicy dishes. A wine to enjoy from now until 2023.

The Carménère grape variety was known in Bordeaux for several centuries but the arrival of phylloxera in the 19th century wiped out the vineyard and today there are only a few dozen hectares in France. It was in Chile that we found in the 90s a few Carménère plants that allowed the development of the cultivation of this grape variety in Chile.

This Secreto 2018 cuvée is a Chilean white wine from the Viu Manent estate, made from 100% vines of the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety planted in the Casablanca Valley, about ten kilometers from the Pacific Ocean.

It offers a nose with intense aromas of citrus, mandarin, orange and lemon, with subtle vegetal notes. On the palate, the substance expresses itself with a lot of freshness with saline touches brought by the proximity of the ocean. It will go very well with seafood, gazpacho, ceviche or sashimi. A wine to enjoy from now until 2023.
