CHENIN

Chenin Blanc is planted on more than 35,000 ha including 50% in South Africa, 25% in France and the rest in Argentina and the USA. In addition to dry white wines which constitute the vast majority of wines produced with the Chenin grape variety, it is used in particular for the production of great sparkling wines in the Loire Valley in France (Vouvray, Montlouis, Saumur) and South Africa and great sweet wines in the Coteaux-du-Layon appellation in France. Some wines from the Chenin Blanc grape variety: Paarl, Robertson (South Africa), Savennières, Anjou, Vouvray, Quarts-de-Chaume (France).
