Domaine des Remparts Burgundy Sorius Cépage César Rouge

Domaine des Remparts Burgundy Sorius Cesar Red 2013

19.90 € Tax included

This astonishing 2013 "Sorius" cuvée from Domaine des Remparts is a red wine from Burgundy made from 100% of the César grape variety.

It is a red wine with a very colourful colour that offers rich aromas of red berries and blackcurrant buds on the nose with light spicy notes and on the palate, a powerful substance with well-asserted but silky tannins: a wine that is off the beaten track and is suitable for long storage in the cellar, up to 15 years old.

The Caesar grape variety was planted in Gaul by the Roman legions in the 2nd century. This grape variety with serrated leaves is now only found in the Irancy vineyard. It is capricious and matures with difficulty, which is why there are very few 100% César cuvées.

It is a perfect wine to accompany meats in sauce, duck breast or rabbit with mustard. as well as powerful Burgundian cheeses.

Find all the wines of Burgundy Grand Auxerrois of the Domaine des Remparts with the red wines of Irancy and Burgundy Côtes d'Auxerre and the white wines of Saint-Bris and Burgundy Aligoté.

This wine can also be ordered as a wine gift box, to be found at the bottom of this page and in our selection of Burgundy wine boxes and wine boxes of rare and forgotten grape varieties.
