This 2018 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu from Domaine Samuel Billaud is made from 35 to 50-year-old vines located on the right bank of the Serein River. The "Mont de Milieu" climate is south-east facing and is renowned for producing wines with great mineral tension and long ageing.

It offers an intense nose with a lot of freshness, with aromas of ripe fruit (white peach, lemon and grapefruit) and floral (jasmine and honeysuckle) and pastry notes. On the palate, we find a concentrated, sharp substance, where the minerality is fully expressed with light saline notes, and a long finish.

It is offered here in a 2018 vintage that can now be tasted and offers a good ageing potential, until 2033-2035. It will be the perfect accompaniment to seafood and shellfish, roast chicken, pasta and fish risottos.
