Domaine du Petit Aout Isla Mollard Espanenc Persan IGP Hautes-Alpes Red 2024
The "Isla" cuvée is a red wine in IGP Hautes-Alpes from the Domaine du Petit Août, made from Mollard, Espanenc and Persan indigenous grape varieties, complemented by Cabernet-Franc, and produced in certified organic farming. The Espanenc grape variety, or Plant droit, is an endemic grape variety of the Hautes Alpes. For the past ten years, Yann Agostini has been reviving local grape varieties from the Hautes Alpes that had almost disappeared, such as Mollard and Espanenc.
Produced in small quantities, from a massal selection of Espanenc grapes planted in 2014, this fresh and digestible wine offers a lot of character with powerful aromas and supple tannins on the palate. It is a wine to be enjoyed today, ideal for an aperitif or a meal of salads and cold cuts.
Find the wines of the Domaine du Petit Août , created in 2009 by Yann Agostini, currently on sale as well as our offers of wines made from rare or forgotten grape varieties of Isère, Savoie, Provence and Languedoc.
