This Meursault Charmes 1er Cru 2018 is produced by Domaine Joseph Drouhin. Yields are low and pressing is very slow, with a passage into the barrel directly after settling. The wines are aged in barrels, 25% of which are new, for 12 months.
This beautiful Meursault offers a beautiful golden colour and a concentrated and very elegant nose, with aromas of almond and hazelnut, pastry, fine spices and toasted dried fruit. On the palate, the substance is round and silky, very harmonious, with a very persistent finish on marzipan, gingerbread and brioche. It can be enjoyed today, preferably from 2023, and stored in the cellar until around 2045.
