Château Carbonnieux Pessac-Léognan Grand Cru Classé de Graves Blanc 2010

Chateau Carbonnieux Pessac-Leognan Grand Cru Classe de Graves White 2010

29.80 € Tax included

This Château Carbonnieux is a Grand Cru Classé of Graves and is one of the few Châteaux classified in red and white. Beautifully complex with notes of white peach, mango and stave, the bouquet announces a full-bodied, well-structured and long palate, where the aromas of Sauvignon, which accounts for two-thirds of the blend, and the fat of Sémillon, are combined. Already very pleasant, this bottle can still wait a few years in the cellar.

The white vineyard of Château Carbonnieux is located on the clay-limestone slopes of the famous Garonne gravel hilltop. It is on these rare and sought-after terroirs that the best white wines are produced, the typicity of which has been recognized for centuries. When young, the whites of Carbonnieux charm with their freshness, purity and aromatic intensity, both fruity and floral. As they age, they develop notes of dried and candied fruit that offer a wide range of gastronomic pairings.

What a long way this castle has come from a simple Périgord farm in Léognan and is now one of the best known in the Graves, both for its red and white wines!
