Château Léoville-Poyferré 2010 expresses all the purity of the fruit of Cabernet Sauvignon and the power of the great vintage that is 2010. It offers a very dark colour and a rich and complex nose with aromas of fresh fruit, spices and notes of cedar. The palate is fleshy with superb aromatic intensity and powerful, elegant tannins and a long, complex and intense finish.

The 2010 vintage is a vintage that can be described as solar with exceptional climatic conditions close to the superb 2009 vintage, although the temperatures were lower. It was during this vintage that the Château's new double-walled truncated conical vats were used for the first time, making it possible to isolate each parcel of the future wine and to carry out a cold pre-fermentation maceration in optimal conditions. The results are immediate in terms of the aromatic intensity of the fruit and the quality of tannin extraction. This Château Léoville-Poyferré 2010 offers exceptional ageing potential.

Château Léoville-Poyferré was born in 1840 and was classified as a second grand cru in 1855. It has belonged to the Cuvelier family since 1920 and is now managed by Didier Cuvelier, as well as the other Château de Saint-Julien, Château Moulin Riche and Château Le Crock in Saint-Estèphe.
