Château Léoville-Poyferré 2015 is a great red wine from Bordeaux, 2nd Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien, offered here in large format with this beautiful 6 liter bottle, an Imperial, ideal as an idea for a beautiful gift or to share on a festive table.

The year 2015 saw a real spring in the Médoc, with low and regular rains and seasonal temperatures. The heat that arrives in June comes at the right time and allows for a very beautiful flowering. The summer was particularly hot and sunny, with some saving rains in August and the grapes were perfectly ripe. The harvest was quite early and in an excellent state of health. The result is a nice balance between acidity and tannic structure

In the 2015 vintage, this great Saint-Julien wine offers a complex palette on the nose, around aromas of red fruits and notes of cedar and spices. It is powerful and fleshy on the palate with dense tannins and a nice freshness, and a long aromatic finish.

Château Léoville-Poyferré was born in 1840 and was classified as a second grand cru in 1855. It has belonged to the Cuvelier family since 1920 and is now managed by Didier Cuvelier, as well as the other Château de Saint-Julien, Château Moulin Riche and Château Le Crock in Saint-Estèphe.

You can also find other 3-litre Double-Magnum bottles in our Methuselah and Imperial catalogue and our catalogue of large capacity bottles.
