Domaine Plageoles Mauzac Noir Vin de France Red 2022
This cuvée from Domaine Plageoles is an organic red wine made from 100% of the Mauzac Noir grape variety, an almost extinct grape variety that Domaine Plageoles in Gaillac, in the South West of France, is reviving.
This Mauzac Noir 2022 offers a light garnet colour with purple reflections, and a fresh nose of small red fruits (redcurrant, wild strawberry), with floral and peppery touches. On the palate, it is a greedy, fruity and finely tannic wine with a fairly long finish on the fruit. It will go perfectly with an aperitif, salads, cold cuts and grilled meats. It can be kept in the cellar until about 2028.
