The 1980 vintage in Cahors is one of the small vintages but some great wines can still be enjoyed such as this 1980 Clos Triguedina, around beautiful aromas of spices and undergrowth.

Owned by the Baldès family since 1830, Clos Triguedina is one of the most beautiful estates in Cahors and one of the founders of the appellation. Its name "me trigo de dina" which means "I can't wait to dine" in Occitan was a very popular passage for pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela who liked to eat there. Jean-Luc Baldès is currently at the head of the Domaine and he works with great talent to produce great red wines made from the Malbec grape variety: New Black Wine, Probus, Clos Triguedina and the parcel cuvées are all exceptional wines, acclaimed by sommeliers and wine lovers from all over the world who make Clos Triguedina one of the very first estates in Cahors.

If you are looking for a bottle from 1980 or more generally a wine from a vintage of a birth year to celebrate an anniversary, the wines of Clos Triguedina are an excellent choice.
