Clos Triguedina 2000 is a Cahors wine made by Jean-Luc Baldès. To discover the mythical 2000 vintage, exceptional in Cahors, it was necessary to be a little patient as these wines now offer magnificent discoveries.

On the nose, ripe black fruits dominate (black cherry and blackcurrant) with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and hazelnut. On the palate, the minerality is still surprising with a lot of volume on ripe fruit and a long finish marked by notes of cedar and white pepper. A wine to be decanted and then served in a decanter after a short aeration, perfect to accompany red meats and wild game.

Clos Triguedina has belonged to the Baldès family since 1830: it is one of the most beautiful estates in Cahors and one of the founders of the appellation. It is now in the hands of Jean-Luc Baldès, a fine connoisseur of the Malbec grape variety, who creates superb single-vineyard cuvées of Cahors wines such as New Black Wine and Probus.

The best wines of Cahors, such as those of Clos Triguedina, are wines that can be kept for several decades in good vintages and that often offer more pleasure to taste than many well-known wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy or the Rhône Valley. Find our selection of wines from the 2000 vintage to celebrate the birthday of a loved one, an event or a company.

If you are looking for the wine of a vintage of a year of birth to celebrate a birthday, the wines of Clos Triguedina are wines of great ageing and an excellent choice.
