The New Black Wine 2011 from Clos Triguedina is a superb 100% Malbec Cahors wine from a plot selection from the estate's 3rd terrace and produced by Jean-Luc Baldès. In the Middle Ages, the winegrowers of the Lot heated some of the bunches or grape musts in prune ovens and Jean-Luc Baldès revisits this know-how with this cuvée. The English, great lovers of Cahors wines since the 15th century, gave it the name of Black Wine.

It is a wine with a complex nose of aromas of dried fruit and candied fruit. On the palate, there is great aromatic complexity on black fruits and spices with roasted notes but also a lot of finesse with well-blended tannins. A wine to be decanted for at least 1 hour and to be enjoyed with red meats, duck à l'orange and spicy, sweet and savory dishes.

Find the wines of Clos Triguedina currently on sale at La Bouteille Dorée, one of the most beautiful estates in Cahors masterfully led by Jean-Luc Baldès, ardent defender of the Malbec grape variety, with the superb cuvées "The New Black Wine" and "Probus". The best wines of Cahors, such as those of Clos Triguedina, are wines that can be kept for several decades in good vintages.
