The 1975 vintage in Cahors is one of the great vintages of the Cahors appellation. This 1975 Clos Triguedina is an exceptional wine that offers a superb dark cherry colour with orange reflections. The nose has beautiful aromas of tobacco, spices, liquorice and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is particularly harmonious with very silky tannins and notes of violet and liquorice. This Clos Triguedina is perfectly ripe, an ideal wine from 1975 to give as a gift.

Clos Triguedina has belonged to the Baldès family since 1830: it is one of the most beautiful estates in Cahors and one of the founders of the appellation. It is now in the hands of Jean-Luc Baldès, a fine connoisseur of the Malbec grape variety, who creates superb single-vineyard cuvées of Cahors wines such as New Black Wine and Probus.

The best wines of Cahors, such as those of Clos Triguedina, are wines that can be kept for several decades in good vintages and that often offer more pleasure to taste than many well-known wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy or the Rhône Valley.
