With this Pinotage 2021, Kanonkop offers us a superb wine made from the Pinotage grape variety in a beautiful vintage, offering great concentrated red wines.

If it were still necessary to prove that the Pinotage grape variety can give great wines, here is a great red wine from South Africa, with intense aromas of red and black fruits, plums and blackberries, and spices, complex and very elegant on the palate and with a very pure finish. It can be stored until 2040 without any problems.

The Kanonkop estate was founded in 1910 by the Sauer family and is run by Johann and Paul Krige, the fourth generation of the family, today. The red wines of Kanonkop are some of the best South African wines.

The Factor 2018 is a great Australian red wine, an exceptional cuvée from Torbreck made from 100% very old pre-phylloxera Shiraz vines from the Barossa Valley.

It offers an intense dark colour and a powerful nose with aromas of black fruits (satsuma plum, blackberry and boysenberry) and notes of dark chocolate, coffee and liquorice.  On the palate, the fruit aromas dominate over a satiny texture with supple tannins and perfectly controlled acidity, and a very long, fresh and fruity finish.

This great Australian wine offers an impressive ageing potential, at least 20 to 25 years.

This beautiful Zinfandel Boneshaker 2020 opens with aromas of blackcurrant and blackberries with subtle notes of sweet spices and leather. On the palate, the rich aromas of ripe fruit blossom perfectly in a balanced substance with supple tannins, with a long, slightly spicy and toasted finish.

It comes from 50 to 100-year-old vines planted on Arbor Vineyard, in the Mokelumne River appellation, a sub-appellation of Lodi (AVA). The low yields and the very favorable Mediterranean climate thanks to the influence of the Sacramento River Delta, make the Lodi appellation one of the most recognized in the United States for ZinfandeL

This wine is the perfect accompaniment to ribs or barbecued red meats.
