This 1998 Probus cuvée is a great Cahors wine from Clos Triguedina offered in Magnum. 1998 is a great vintage from the Cahors appellation and this wine offers an intense nose of black fruits (blackcurrant, prunes) and undergrowth with spicy notes. On the palate it is very concentrated and has retained a lot of freshness. To be enjoyed with duck confit, duck breasts or prime rib.

In the year 96 A.D., Emperor Domitian had the vines uprooted in favor of the cultivation of wheat. Thanks to another Emperor, Probus, in the year 280, the vine was replanted in Quercy and this is what this Probus cuvée reminds us.
