The 1976 vintage in Cahors is one of the very good vintages of the Cahors appellation. This 1976 Clos Triguedina offers very nice aromas of tobacco and spices around notes of candied black fruits and on the palate, a beautiful structure with a long finish. It is offered here in a Magnum and packaged in a wooden box.

Clos Triguedina has belonged to the Baldès family since 1830: it is one of the most beautiful estates in Cahors and one of the founders of the appellation. It is now in the hands of Jean-Luc Baldès, a fine connoisseur of the Malbec grape variety, who creates superb single-vineyard cuvées of Cahors wines such as New Black Wine and Probus.

The best wines of Cahors, such as those of Clos Triguedina, are wines that can be kept for several decades in good vintages and that often offer more pleasure to taste than many well-known wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy or the Rhône Valley.

Due to their great ageing potential, the wines of Clos Triguedina offer a very good solution if you are looking for a bottle from 1976 or more generally a wine from a vintage of a birth year to celebrate a birthday.
