Clos des Papes Chateauneuf-du-Pape Red 2010

240.00 € Tax included

The Clos des Papes offers us here a great red wine from the Rhône Valley in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, and in an exceptional 2010 vintage.

This 2010 Châteauneuf-du-Pape red from Clos des Papes offers a beautiful ruby colour and a magnificent nose of strawberry and blackcurrant with floral notes, sweet spices and chocolate. It is just as sumptuous on the palate, balanced between aromatic intensity, elegance, controlled acidity and freshness, with a very long finish. It is rated 99/100 by the famous Wine Spectator guide.

It will be the perfect accompaniment to game, a deer fillet, a venison leg, a roast boar with pepper sauce, a roasted woodcock, a pheasant terrine or lamb tapenade. And if you're patient, its ageing potential is very great, at least until 2040.

The Clos des Papes de Paul et Vincent is an exceptional estate that received 3 stars in the guide of the Revue du Vin de France 2021. On 24 plots and 40 hectares, the estate produces superb red wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape made from 65% Grenache noir, 20% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah and 5% a blend of Counoise, Vaccarèse and Muscardin.
