This Volnay 1er Cru Les Chevrets 1966 from Domaine Henri Boillot is a great Burgundy wine, made by one of the most talented winemakers of the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot. Domaine Henri Boillot. The 1966 vintage was quite uneven for the red wines of Burgundy because the climatic conditions were quite poor during the summer and the ripening of the grapes was not always perfect. Fortunately, the harvest was not good and the great red wines have been able to keep quite well over the last 50 years.

Domaine Henri Boillot is located in Meursault and today extends over 15 hectares of vines, mainly from the premiers crus of Savigny-les-Beaune, Beaune, Volnay, Pommard, Meursault and finally Puligny-Montrachet whose estate has a monopoly of 3.92 hectares with the premier cru Clos de la Mouchère.
